FARMHOUSE INN RECEPTION

forestville, california

In 2007, our team developed a new concept for the established Sonoma County BnB, Farmhouse Inn. At the time, only the original farmhouse and a few ancillary buildings and guest rooms existed on the property. We developed a master plan for the property and relocated the congested reception and guest check in to an existing storage shed next to the pool.

To develop a sense of arrival, the guests are welcomed by what has since become the design signature of the newer buildings on the property, an indoor/outdoor fireplace. The reception building features existing, reclaimed redwood barn beams from the property's original barn, locally sourced interior materials and furnishings made my local vendors.

As the first experience of guests, the reception building still leaves a lasting impression over a decade after construction.
