In Mendocino County, a small 1930s camp grounds became the home for a new LGBT retreat center and gathering place for a non-profit known as Groundswell Institute. Acting as the master planner and architect for facility upgrades, the project wanted to create an outdoor hot tub amenity for guests and staff.

With the assistance of a local commercial pool installation company, this deck and spa facility added additional gathering space and an essential amenity to the grounds. The land and aging facility has also been updated to add an accessible shower and cabin to provide equal access for all LGBT patrons and community members.
